Our Riders
At Young Hearts Therapeutic Riding, we welcome riders of diverse ages, abilities, and backgrounds. We believe every individual has unique strengths, needs, and goals, and we meet each rider where they are. Through meaningful connections with our horses and animals, we create opportunities to grow, build confidence, discover new abilities, and celebrate accomplishments—one rider at a time.

Find the Right Program for Your Rider
At Young Hearts Therapeutic Riding, we believe every individual deserves the opportunity to grow, connect, build confidence, and experience accomplishment alongside our horses and animals.
We offer two different program paths: Therapeutic Riding and Professional Therapy Services through our partnership with Circle Creek Therapy. While both take place in our unique barn environment, they have different purposes, goals, and enrollment processes.

Therapeutic Riding
Therapeutic Riding focuses on learning to ride, care for, and build a relationship with a horse in a supportive, adapted environment. Riders learn skills such as haltering, grooming, saddling, and riding, with guidance from trained instructors and support from our amazing volunteers.
Through these experiences, riders have opportunities to develop balance, coordination, confidence, independence, and communication while building trust and connection with their horse.
At Young Hearts, riding is about more than learning a skill. It's about celebrating accomplishments, overcoming challenges, and developing a meaningful relationship with a horse who becomes a special partner in the journey.

Professional Therapy Services
Through our partnership with Circle Creek Therapy, individuals can receive professional speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy right here at our barn.
These services are provided by licensed therapists who develop individualized treatment goals based on each client's needs. Depending on the goals and clinical plan, therapy may take place on horseback, on the ground, or through activities involving our barn environment and animals.
The movement of the horse and the unique environment of the barn can provide meaningful opportunities to work toward therapeutic goals. Therapists may incorporate horses, goats, chickens, cats, dogs, and real-life activities into sessions to support skill development, functional participation, communication, movement, and independence.
